EXAMPLES OF Areas of work include the following:

Leading authentically

How to lead in ways that feels right for you.  Knowing yourself and your values.  Playing to your strengths and staying balanced.  Not betraying your truth and at the same time stretching yourself and being courageous.

Effective communication

We are all different and have different communication preferences.  Are you aware of yours and those of your colleagues and clients?  Do you adapt your style?  Would you like to?

Emotional intelligence

Understanding yourself and how your emotions and actions affect the people around you helps you work better and relate better.  If you are a leader, these skills determine your success and yes, they can be learnt.

Assertiveness and reigning in people pleasing tendencies

You want to be liked and meet the needs of others, but not to feel frustrated and resentful.  Strike the balance between aggressive and passive behaviour.

Improving work-life balance

We are whole people and the lines between personal life and work life are blurred.  Each impacts the other.  Life is a marathon and to last the race, get in balance.

Running effective meetings that people care about

“Our meetings go on and on”. “Our meetings are a waste of time”.  Sounds familiar.  In a world of ever-increasing technological connection, the challenge of having effective meetings has never been more vital.  Run effective meetings by getting organised, elevating your thinking and getting the right mindset.

Being more courageous, less fearful, and more proactive

Fear and lack of courage hold us all back and for good reason – to survive!  On the other hand, to survive and thrive we need to challenge our fears and assumptions. What are yours?

Building resilience

In today’s world burnout and ‘getting stuck’ are growing concerns for many of us. If I could give one gift to my children, to my best friend - it is resilience. It is a skill.  It requires us to retrain our brain and it can be learnt.  Heal our past and open our future.

Meaning and purpose

We may have satisfied our need for money and security.  But a gap remains, and we feel unfulfilled.  This is when we need to find our purpose in life and an independent person helps us answer this question.  The challenge is often to balance the co-existence of purpose with the commercial reality of earning money / making profit.

Career

At the fork in the road we may make a good or bad decision or no decision (bad!).  There’s a time for you to ‘take a hold of the steering wheel’ of your career and drive in the right direction

Empathy - improving working relationships and getting better results

It’s easy to see things from our own shoes but that won’t always move us or our goal forward.  See other perspectives and enhance effectiveness and our humanity, by getting into the shoes of others.
